The School offers an exciting range of degree courses, each of which enables you to specialise in a particular area of practice, whilst providing a strong theoretical grounding in relevant subjects.
University of Leeds graduates are highly regarded by employers. Your studies will enable you to develop a wide range of skills to prepare you for your career, as well as your knowledge of the art and design world and related employment.
If you wish to gain direct experience relating to your chosen career, you may undertake an industrial (work) placement at home or overseas. Many of our students have been offered permanent employment by their placement organisations – which are impressed by our students and the skills they offer.
If you wish to study abroad, you may extend your course to study for a year at one of several overseas universities.
As a graduate of the School, you will be prepared to work as a designer or manager in a variety of contexts, including the media, marketing, retailing and manufacturing.
One of the best ways to get a feel for our campus is by coming to one of our open days when you will be able to explore the campus, meet current students and attend talks from the staff who will be teaching you. You can also see our ongoing investment in the student experience focused on new studios, equipment, labs and student common room.
