Designer Faye Hindle scoops two Fashion Fiesta 2017 awards

Faye Hindle, Garment Technician, BA Fashion Technology Tutor and womenswear designer has won two Fashion Fiesta 2017 awards.

Fashion Fiesta 2017 saw entrepreneurial designers and independent fashion houses take to the runway in Bradford to battle it out for three coveted prizes.

Hindle received Best Designer and Overall Entrepreneur awards for her Hybrid collection, which features structured silhouettes and unusual textures. The collection was judged by a panel business leaders and industry experts from the Yorkshire region.

Hindle’s winning ‘Hybrid’ womenswear collection

Hindle directs Faye Hindle studio, a ready to wear womenswear label based in Yorkshire. She previously worked for designer Gareth Pugh and using her skills in handwork, cutting and leatherwork, created garments for his Paris catwalk shows.

Hindle commented:

“I am delighted to have won the best designer and also the Entrepreneurship award from the Fashion Fiesta event. It’s a privilege to compete and get to know local talent within Yorkshire. It was great that the judges could see my energy and passion through my designs.”
