Join us for a Yukata (kimono) and Japanese tea ceremony experience at ULITA on Tuesday 23 May from 14:00 to 16:00!
Learn the techniques of yukata dressing and take part in a matcha tea drinking ceremony at ULITA. The yukata is a casual version of the kimono, a robe usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric, wrapped around the body and fastened with a sash (obi). The Japanese tea ceremony involves the preparation and special presentation of matcha, a powdered green tea. Led by University of Leeds international student Moana Kikuchi.
This event is part of Katagami – the Craft of the Japanese Stencil exhibition programme which runs until 7 December 2017.
